NEW Contract earned in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture!

We have just obtained a NEW contract in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture.

Okayama City is a central hub for the Chugoku region of Japan. It is one of the main stops along the Sanyo Shinkansen line providing easy access to everything the “Sunshine Prefecture” has to offer.

Convenient access to the Seto Inland sea makes for easy day trips into a beautiful countryside that is perfect for cycling, sightseeing and more. There is plenty of shopping and sites to explore throughout the city as well.

Koraku-en, one of the top three traditional Gardens in all of Japan, and adjoining Okayama Castle, known as the Crow Castle, are top draws, and overall the city offers all the benefits of comfortable city life without the hustle and bustle, This really is a great place to be an ALT.
- These are hybrid full-time positions, with only 160 overall working days per year, (other full-time positions typically have about 200 ~ 210 days of work) with longer break periods in the summer and winter
- Start Date: Classes will start April 20th, but ALTs will need to be available for 1 day on April 9th for JHS positions or April 10th for ES positions to meet your new schools
- Monthly salary: ¥190,000 - Paid in full, every month (even in April, December and March when you only work a week or so in each month and full salary in August as well!)
- ‘Make up’ Bonus: Special bonus paid at the end of the year if all required days are worked or made up
- Positions include: Elementary school only and Junior High only
- Driving: Most positions are non-driving, but some will require the ability to drive
- Health Insurance: Shakai Hoken (includes health and pension)
- Conversational Japanese needed for elementary positions to work effectively with teachers
These positions are for enthusiastic ALTs who are expected to be involved in daily school life beyond classroom teaching, including interacting with students during lunch, events, and other school activities.
